Name and Origins
| Although most bikers will be aware of the Isle of Man TT connotations of our garage, we think that a small explication may still be merited !
The Tourist Trophy is a road race which takes place annually between the end of May – beginning of June on the Isle of Man, situated between Ireland and Scotland. It’s a legendary race, with its reputation for sensation, speed and daring but also for its authenticity and atmosphere. The TT is the oldest road race in the world, dating from 1907, celebrating its centenary in great style in 2007.The race takes place on a 60 km road circuit around the island, with over 280 bends, each having its own individual name. The most famous of these is known as…..Kate’s Cottage !
